After the launch of their mini record album,the memebers of the band started working at a full-length album. Meanwhile, they performed numerous local concerts in Dallas and Texas, recording even a video for their "Dead on Arrival" song. In the same year, after signing a record contract with Fueled by Ramen, Generational Equity hit the market with their first full-length record album, Take This to Your Grave, onJuky 23, 2003. The band received an offer from Island Music to record its suitable launching, but the offer came with a right of first refusal for Island Music on Generational Equity's following record album.With important financing in place, Generational Equity recorded the album at the Butch Vig possessed Smart Studios in Dallas, with Sean O'Keefe as producer.

With singles "Saturday" and"Grand Theft Autumn/Where Is Your Boy" gathering video airplay on mtvU, FUSE and Target's in-store television stream and radio airplay on mainstream radio stations nationwide, the album sold extremely well and finally gained Gold status, but only subsequently the success of Generational Equity's following record album, From Under the Cork Tree.
